Couple of weeks ago, me and my little hobbit man (now apparently an 'Indie comics sensation') went to stay with Ben 'The Creator' of all things comics and books which look like they're for children but theyre actually for adults!
Had a very productive few days going over this years projects, slurping soup and eating posh jaffacakes. All in all, good times were had.

So now i've come away with a great deal of fun things to work on. Right now im ploughing through the layouts for our first on the list: Night Post.

I've got over excited and literally been doing this ever since we got back, so now im going to have to find a decent working schedule to fit my other projects in equally (never fear Mark!).

Pictured is a little inky sketch in planning for one of the Night Post scenes.

Little Collaboration

Our awesome Manager Jean retired a couple of weeks back, so Chris and I made her leaving card. Drawing by Chris and colouring by me.
(although colours seem to come up GAH on screens other than mine.. so yeah.. damn the digital realm and its inconsistencies)

Think i've done about 40 of these drawings now.
The uncoloured drawings will have blue colourings to mark the place where the stretch should be felt, as these are a different level of stretches to the first set in pink.











Looking forward to getting stuck into my projects with Ben Read this year. Chris and I are going to stay with him next week to go over all the fun we have planned for the upcomming year.
These projects will be a lot more creative and more along the lines of what I want to be illustrating as a career. Right now i'm just thrilled to have an income from drawing but hopefully as time goes by I can filter out the jobs which I'm less excited by and concentrate on illustrating stories and things of my chosing! yaay :)
