Flamstead Book Festival

On Sat 6th June I happily returned to the little village of Flamstead for their second annual book festival. I ran a children's workshop and helped the wonderful Gemma Sealey from Waterstones St. Albans with a book stall. A number of different authors came to give presentations and workshops throughout the day, held in the local church and church hall. Money raised from the event goes towards the restoration and conservation of the church building and it's surroundings.

Here are some photos from the day:

The lovely little church hall where I held my workshop

View from the church hall, such a sunny day!

The church, with restoration work underway.

The local pub (always important) on the right: The Spotted Dog.

Clutching my book to my chest with a crazed expression, as usual.

Some of the awesome comics! We completed a panel &
passed the comic on to the next person to continue the story.

These kids were the coolest! (So were the ones too shy to be in the picture).

Improper Books titles! Hurray!

Filling up for Jane Hawking.

Jane Hawking with a happy reader! :)

You can find out more about this year's festival, including the other guests in attendance, over at the Flamstead Book Festival website.

Thanks very much to all the lovely organisers (especially Vikki!) for inviting me back this year, it was a great day! :D
